Ingredients:
- 1 package 16 oz of mini marshmallows
- 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 6 cups of crispy rice cereal
- 1 cup of crushed graham crackers
- 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips for garnish
- 1/4 cup of powdered sugar for dusting
- Cooking spray for greasing
- Optional: colored sprinkles for decoration
Instructions:
Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray and set it aside
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat
Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until completely melted and smooth
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract
Add the crispy rice cereal and crushed graham crackers to the marshmallow mixture
Stir until all the ingredients are well combined
Gently fold in the 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture
Transfer the mixture into the greased baking pan and press it down evenly using a spatula or your hands
Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips evenly over the top of the mixture and press them down slightly to adhere
Allow the mixture to cool and set for about 1-2 hours at room temperature, or you can place it in the refrigerator to speed up the process
Once set, use a knife to cut the mixture into squares or rectangles, creating your Chocolate Marshmallow Mountains
Dust the top of each square with powdered sugar for added sweetness and garnish with colored sprinkles if desired
