Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup Marsala wine
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 slices cooked bacon
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Mayonnaise
Instructions:
Put ground beef, diced onions, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a bowl
Take the mixture and shape it into 4 burger patties
Set the grill or pan on medium-high heat
The burger patties should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them
Put a slice of provolone cheese on top of each burger just before it's done cooking and let it melt
In a small saucepan, heat Marsala wine over medium-low heat until it cuts in half
Set this aside while you cook the burgers
You can use a grill or a toaster to toast the hamburger buns
Start by putting a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun
Then add a burger patty with melted cheese, a slice of cooked bacon, and a slice of tomato
Add mayonnaise to taste and place the other half of the bun on top of the burger
Drizzle the Marsala reduction over the burger
Warm up the Marsala Burgers and serve them with your favorite sides
